Optus has mounted a serious community outage which stopped many pissed off prospects making calls on cell phones for half the enterprise day.
The telecom big reported the difficulty at 8.30am AEST, earlier than asserting it was lastly resolved simply after 12.40pm.
A number of hours after the outage started, Optus stated its tech groups had recognized the fault and it was working to repair outgoing voice providers for an unspecified variety of impacted prospects.
"We sincerely apologise to prospects for any inconvenience and thank them for his or her endurance whereas affected providers had been restored," Optus stated, following the close to five-hour disruption to its service.
The Optus Twitter account was hit with a blitz of complaints from confused and indignant prospects this morning.
