Lorde's Uncasville, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C., tour dates have been rescheduled for August.
Lorde canceled two live shows on her Photo voltaic Energy Tour this weekend resulting from laryngitis. The reveals, initially scheduled to happen at Uncasville, Connecticut’s Mohegan Solar Enviornment on Friday and Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem on Saturday, have been rescheduled for August.
In a press release from Lorde revealed on Mohegan Solar’s web site, the singer stated, “Connecticut — these previous couple days I’ve been pushing by way of some horrendous laryngitis, and I remorse to tell you that my voice hasn’t sufficiently recovered to have the ability to play the present for you tomorrow(4/15). I’m so, so sorry. I don’t take suspending a present evenly. I’ve tried all the things, and sadly it’s bodily unimaginable for me to sing a lot of the set. Please settle for my honest apologies. All nicely in addition to that, and completely frothing to get together with you when I'm ready.”
In a follow-up put up on social media by The Anthem, she wrote, “Sadly, resulting from continued sickness, I'm suspending our present. I'm so, so sorry. My voice continues to be a wreck, and I don’t wish to give a less-than-great efficiency. I really like taking part in in DC, and I’m gutted it’s you guys I’m letting down. I hope you already know I might solely do that due to having completely no selection. Please settle for my honest apologies, and a brand new August 29 date for our rescheduled present.”

Lorde not too long ago opened as much as followers about struggles she used to have with stage fright, noting that it’s “barely an element now.”
“I used to return offstage and really feel like I had stepped from one planet onto one other, the adrenaline spike being so huge, the concern response I’d needed to counteract so immense,” she wrote in an e-mail to publication subscribers final week. “I’d must chew a gummy or drink a tequila simply to return down a bit bit.”
Now, post-performance, she has a ritual of writing down particulars about what she’s seen out within the viewers, like “somebody in a solar costume, somebody in outdated merch, somebody with stunning eye make-up, somebody who’s hype the complete time, somebody who barely sings a phrase however is totally centered.”
