Launch of first civilian commercial crew to space station slips to Friday

Launch of a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule carrying the primary all-civilian crew on a industrial, non-government flight to the Worldwide Area Station is slipping from Wednesday to at the least Friday, the mission's sponsor introduced Sunday. No purpose for the slip was given.

Houston-based Axiom Area stated launch from pad 39A on the Kennedy Area Heart is now focused for no sooner than 11:17 a.m. ET Friday, April 8, organising a docking on the house station Saturday morning round 7:30 a.m.

Mission commander Michael Lopez-Alegria, an Axiom vp and former NASA astronaut, and three rich investor/entrepreneurs -- Larry Connor, Canadian Mark Pathy and Israeli Eytan Stibbe, a former F-16 fighter ace -- plan to spend about 9 days aboard the lab finishing up privately funded analysis earlier than undocking and returning to Earth.

The flight is the primary NASA-sanctioned "personal astronaut mission" to the house station because the company makes an attempt to develop industrial funding in low-Earth orbit analysis and improvement.
