Residents have been left devastated after a home was utterly engulfed in flames in Sydney's south-west this morning.
The fireplace which began simply earlier than 7am has destroyed a complete dwelling on Grace Avenue in Lurnea.
Six fireplace crews rushed to the scene to cease the hearth from spreading to neighbouring properties.
Hearth crews mentioned the residents had escaped with out hurt.
"After we arrived the entire home was concerned in fireplace sadly," firefighter Scott Hanley informed 9News.
"The resident was exterior and knowledgeable us nobody else was inside which is a big weight off for us."
The whole dwelling has been destroyed by the blaze.
"The home is totally destroyed each room is totally destroyed," Mr Hanley mentioned.
"Completely nothing is saved."
Neighbours woke to the shock of the blaze which despatched thick smoke over the road and now their ideas lie with the residents who're left with nothing.
"I really feel sorry for the poor folks now which have to start out throughout," a neighbour informed 9News.
Police and firefighters will now examine the reason for the hearth.
"As the home is so broken it'll take a little bit of time to try to verify the place it began and the way it began," Mr Hanley mentioned.
