Firefighters have pulled off a becoming Easter rescue by saving a bunny from an condo blaze in Sydney's south-west.
Fireplace and Rescue NSW crews attended a fireplace at a two-level condo block in Tudor Avenue in Belmore simply earlier than 9am at present.
A person in his 50s managed to flee the blaze with one rabbit, which belongs to his kids.
The person tried to return into the unit to rescue the second rabbit however was overcome by smoke and needed to retreat.
He was handled for smoke inhalation on the scene.
"We obtained info that there was a rabbit inside that was a much-loved pet of the resident," firefighter Garry Warburton advised 9News.
Firefighters entered the second-storey condo and located the bunny, named Brian.
"We stumbled throughout the rabbit hiding beneath the TV cupboard," Mr Warburton stated.
Brian the bunny was carried to security and handed again to its grateful proprietor.
The reason for the fireplace continues to be being decided.
