Sharon Kugler is the Chaplain at Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut.

Now we have been dwelling with a deep burden of world unrest, uncertainty, grief and concern that's beginning to really feel brutally defiant in its endurance.  Our spirits are struggling beneath the stress of all of it.

And now right here we're, gathered on this imperfect approach, throughout these many screens eager for connection, for causes to hope, eager for a number of sorts of peace.

What can we do hundreds of miles away from a brand new struggle, a brand new invasion, to convey peace?

Allow us to pray for peace: peace in Ukraine the place individuals are fleeing, hiding or dropping their very lives in protection of their house, their lifestyle.

Peace in every single place, the place aggression, poverty, ignorance and violence oppresses and destroys our human household.

Peace in our aching hearts, in order that we may be a part of the sort of therapeutic that's restorative.

Peace in our minds, to create a extra simply world.

Peace within the mild, peace at midnight, peace within the huge, peace within the small, peace within the weak, peace within the sturdy.

Might you be shalom, could you be salaam, could you be shanti, could you convey and be peace.
