Tennis star Serena Williams is talking out after the New York Instances printed an article about her however mistakenly used a photograph of her sister, Venus Williams. The Instances has since apologized.
The article, printed within the March 2 print model of The Instances, mentioned Serena's latest capital enterprise fund geared toward backing concepts from various creators. Titled "Tennis Star's Enterprise Agency Has Raised $111 Million," the article appeared in print with a photograph of Venus Williams mistakenly labeled as Serena.
"Irrespective of how far we come, we get reminded that it isn't sufficient. Because of this I raised $111M for @serenaventures.To assist the founders who're missed by engrained methods woefully unaware of their biases," Williams wrote in a Twitter publish Wednesday. "As a result of even I'm missed. You are able to do higher, @nytimes ."
"This was our mistake," The New York Instances Enterprise account tweeted Wednesday. "It was resulting from an error when deciding on pictures for the print version, and it didn't seem on-line. A correction will seem in tomorrow's paper."
The New York Instances didn't instantly reply to CBS Information' request for remark.
