Dog rescued in flood-hit NSW town after three days stuck up tree

A canine who spent three days caught up a tree in a flooded city in northern NSW has been rescued by a firefighter in a kayak.
Winnie was entangled within the tree 5 metres off the bottom in South Lismore after extreme flooding swamped the city.
The bull mastiff cross is believed to have been washed away through the flood and have become caught within the tree when the waters subsided.

A Hearth and Rescue NSW crew member borrowed a kayak and paddled to the tree to get Winnie down.
The firefighter was a part of a crew coping with a close-by gas leak.
Winnie was taken to a vet however needed to have certainly one of its hind legs amputated due to its accidents.
The canine has now been reunited with its household.
