A cow that washed ashore a seashore after being swept from its farm by New South Walesfloodwaters has been euthanised by police.
The animal was seen roaming on Duranbah Seashore within the Tweed Shire, close to Coolangatta in Queensland, on Tuesday.
It's believed to have survived a ten kilometre journey down the Tweed River earlier than it washed up near the opposite aspect of the border.

Farm Animal Rescue, a not-for-profit organisation, spent greater than 12 hours making an attempt to seize the animal, which obtained spooked from the seashore onto neighbouring streets.

It is believed the animal was swept away alongside her calf.
