New dinosaur 'size of a London bus' found in European mountain range

A workforce of paleontologists have recognized a brand new species of dinosaur from stays discovered within the Pyrenees, a mountain vary straddling the border of Spain and France.
The 70-million-year-old skeleton is from a titanosaur, a herbivorous group of dinosaurs.
Dubbed Abditosaurus kuehnei, the reptile is considered the most important titanosaur species discovered within the area.

Dimension estimates place the traditional beast at a whopping 17.5 metres, which is across the size of a London bus.
It had a physique mass of 14,000 kg.
The dimensions of the dinosaur is an element that is shocked researchers, because it roamed at a time when the area was a part of the Ibero-Armorican Island.

Animals from remoted areas like islands are sometimes smaller.
"Titanosaurs from the Higher Cretaceous of Europe are typically small or medium-sized resulting from their evolution in insular situations," defined Bernat Vila, paleontologist on the ICP main the analysis defined in a press launch.

The analysis has been printed within the Journal Nature Ecology & Evolution.
The primary stays of the dinosaur had been collected in 1954 by German paleontologist Walter Kühne.
Since then 53 skeletal components of the specimen have been unearthed, making it essentially the most full titanosaur specimen ever found in Europe.
