A home has been destroyed by fireplace after a suspected lightning strike in Western Sydney as the town, NSW Blue Mountains and Central Coast had been lashed by an intense storm.
Fireplace and Rescue NSW (FRNSW), which suspects lightning set the Glenmore Park home alight, stated regardless of battling the flames, the house was destroyed.
Crews had been referred to as to Kobina Avenue at 5.30pm and stopped the flames from spreading to neighbouring houses.
"They battled the blaze, which took maintain within the roof of the property, and rapidly contained the flames," a FRNSW spokesman, stated.
"Nevertheless, they had been unable to save lots of the house."
The second lightning hit the home was caught on dashcam footage.
