Former US president Donald Trump has labelled the Russian invasion of components of Ukraine as an act of "genius" whereas showing on a conservative speak radio program.
Talking on The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Present, Mr Trump mentioned he knew Russian President Vladimir Putin "very effectively" and that Russian troopers on the bottom can be the "strongest peace power".
"I went in yesterday and there was a tv display, and I mentioned, 'that is genius'. Putin declares an enormous portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine. Putin declares it as unbiased. Oh, that is fantastic," Mr Trump advised the present.
"So, Putin is now saying, 'It is unbiased'. A big part of Ukraine.
"I mentioned, 'How good is that?'
"And he is gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. That is strongest peace power… We might use that on our southern border.
"That is the strongest peace power I've ever seen.
"There have been extra military tanks than I've ever seen. They're gonna preserve peace all proper. No, however consider it.
"This is a man who's very savvy… I do know him very effectively. Very, very effectively."
The previous president went on to say that Mr Putin wouldn't have made the transfer whereas he was nonetheless within the Oval Workplace.
