The household of a father killed in a horror truck collision has spoken out, because the neighborhood pushes for higher highway security help in regional Western Australia.
Welder, Philip Parker, 38, was driving to work yesterday morning on the Model Freeway by way of Bambun, 68 kilometres north of Perth, when ten minutes into his drive, he was killed.
Two on-coming semi trailers had clipped one another, slamming into Mr Parker and crushing his automobile.
His spouse, Sheena Parker stated she felt one thing was unsuitable when calling her husband's office.
"She known as me again and stated I am so sorry...he by no means arrived right now," Ms Parker stated.
"I felt my coronary heart bodily break.
Mrs Parker stated telling the couple's three kids their father had been killed was one other devastating blow.
"It is simply soul crushing, simply soul crushing to inform them he wasn't coming house, that he was in an accident and he wasn't coming house," she stated.
"To know that he was simply going about his enterprise... driving to work... unsuitable place, unsuitable time."
Clear ups on the Model Freeway on the web site of the crash lasted over 12 hours, closing a number of lanes of visitors.
