Deep sea exploration of the Indian Ocean begins

A brand new analysis centre in Perth is permitting scientists to discover 1000's of kilometres beneath the ocean.
The Deep Sea Analysis Centre is a collaboration between scientists from the College of Western Australia and Andrew Forrest's Minderoo Basis.
Researchers from the centre will deal with exploring WA's coast and are hoping to get a greater understanding of the marine life and deepest areas of the Indian Ocean.

A submarine mission will discover the ocean flooring six kilometres beneath the floor of the Indian Ocean.
"The Indian Ocean traditionally has been nearly uncared for," Professor Alan Jamieson from the UWA Deep Sea Analysis Centre informed 9News.
"There's been tons performed within the Atlantic, Pacific, however the Indian Ocean has fallen by the wayside."

A crew of 5 scientists have already begun mapping elements of the Indian Ocean and taking movies.
