Daring rescue mission to save injured climber from 'The Candlestick' in Tasmania

A daring rescue mission unfolded in Tasmania as crews had been known as to rescue an injured climber from a preferred cliff face.
Tasmania Police stated the climber, a person in his 30s, fell from "The Candlestick", a sheer sea cliff in Fortescue Bay close to Port Arthur yesterday.
He fell ten metres and sustained a leg harm.

Crew from Westpac Rescue Helicopter Tasmania flew to the scene and winched the climber to security round midday.
He was then flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The climber's feminine companion was unhurt.
She was extracted from the location by a police boat after she rappelled down the rock.
