The U.S. Coast Guard mentioned Thursday it has seized 1000's of kilos of cocaine and marijuana price greater than $1 billion. The medicine had been offloaded at Port Everglades in Florida.
Crews from 9 U.S. ships seized 54,500 kilos of cocaine and 15,800 kilos of marijuana, price roughly $1.06 billion, within the worldwide waters of the Japanese Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, the Coast Guard mentioned.
In the meantime, Coast Guard mentioned its crew onboard the Cutter James set a report for the "largest single cocaine interdiction at 10,915 kilos, price $206.4 million, and the biggest single marijuana interdiction at 3,962 kilos, price $3.59 million, which is the best quantity of contraband interdicted throughout an Japanese Pacific patrol," whereas on their 90-day patrol.
It's not clear whether or not anybody was charged.
