Woman charged after man stabbed in the back in Adelaide's north-east

A lady has been charged after she allegedly stabbed a person within the again in an assault in Adelaide's north-east.

The 44-year-old Payneham South lady allegedly stabbed a 47-year-old Pooraka man within the again whereas the pair have been inside a unit on Douglas Place in Payneham South after 8pm yesterday.

Police arrived shortly after and arrested the lady, whereas the person was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.

She has been charged with aggravated inflicting hurt and is understood to the person.

A person who lives close to the scene of the incident, Malcolm Curthoys, instructed 9News he intervened within the assault after listening to it.

Mr Curthoys stated he rushed and stood between the person and lady, urging her to cool down earlier than he known as police.
