Two people have been hospitalised after a car crashed through the front of a Chemist Warehouse store in Melbourne's inner east.
An occupant of the car was left unconscious and "extensively trapped" after the car went through the shop on Bridge Road, Richmond just before 12.45pm, according to Fire Rescue Victoria.
The car also took out a gas metre, causing it to leak, during the crash.
Firefighters freed the person trapped in the car.
Paramedics treated a man in his 20s and a woman in her 50s, who were in the car, for lower body injuries.
The man was taken to St Vincent's Hospital and the woman to the Alfred Hospital, both in a stable condition.
Two other people were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
No structural damage was caused to the building.
Victoria Police and SES also assisted at the scene.
